Yes, it was while he was on the trip to Yalta that he was awarded the Order of Lenin... on the same trip with FDR!
What a frightful thing to want to be on the same side as Lenin, in anything.
The Left has a difficult time with facts, though I noted that some prominent Leftists were aware they had been wrong during the early years of the Cold War, hypocritically not altering their latter day views (that had been based on their faulty assumptions about Russia and the Cold War).
And in an article commemorating the anniversary of the death of Hiss, the New York Times still had to claim his guilt was still in question.

The fact that Alger Hiss was a communist, the UN has plans to be the World Government, and the UN was set up to disadvantage the USA, is not news to me. That’s been obvious and well known for a long time.

The definitive book on Alger Hiss was “Witness” by Whittaker Chambers, who testified against him in 1949 and 1950.
This book was published in 1952 and runs about 600 pages. Some libraries still have copies.
Hiss was in the state Department from 1935 on, with Chambers, and both were Communists with direct ties to Mother Russia.
A young Congressman, Richard Nixon, led the charge.
And the Communist Left in the US got their revenge on him by removing him from office.
The Communists in the State Department run silent and run deep.
As they have for the last 80 years.
Interesting that Baxter does not believe in the Trinity. Above my pay-grade as to why, or why I should really care on a day to day basis.
But fascinating that Baxter predicted the unification of Germany. Perhaps this is because while the Cold War was going on, we had never signed a peace treaty with divided Germany (or something).
