You don't have to buy a full MacBook Pro if all you do is surf the net, write, work with photos, and some video. Re: MacBook Air...

Just bought one refurb 11” for my wife $700 on Amazon. Gorgeous little thing. Runs forever on a charge, light, clear display, and she particularly likes the backlit keyboard. Runs quick too.
