Looks like he was using a Colt 1911, or some knockoff thereof. Nothing like a big, old, 230gr .45 slug to take out feral animals....works good and lasts a long time.

Looks like center of mass, slightly higher, his arms and head fold towards the impact. Also he had grabbed a second gun with his left hand and was getting ready to bring it to bear. Looks like several shots hit him as he staggered backwards, and likely had his light turned out before he hit the floor, judging by the ripple when he landed flat.
All in all, not bad, excellent reaction to the threat by the white haired individual.

The gun shop owner becomes aware of the robbery at :05 and by :09 in the video the first robber is dead. He put a lot of lead in the direction of #2 but the guy may have been running or bad sight lines.
Clearly good shooting under pressure situation.
