“General Zod forgot to say kneel...”

THAT’S what I remember him from!!! He was in that movie with that flying guy that almost put me into a cinematically induced coma!!!

He’s terrible ... he’s the kind of evil that makes you tremble at first, then makes you crack up laughing after you hear him. He invokes the opposite of fear.

On a side note, it’s beyond baffling why they screw with such a simple concept as a superhero that is all for truth, justice, and the American way of life. They choose to make him cranky, egotistical, and flat out difficult to like. They then wonder why nobody wants to go see any Superman film in droves and wonder why the Richard Donner films of the late 70s did well yet their “modern” garbage seems to fall flat.

I get that they have to pander to a world audience these days, but you can keep Superman a “goody two shoes, pro-American” on the world stage and still rake in serious cash ... it involves a process called “writing” that requires “talent”.

You cannot replace personality with special effects, imo. I don’t agree with how they have done Superman, or Batman, at the movies recently.
