Will Donald Trump remake school lunches into his fast-food favorites of burgers and fried chicken when he’s president?

Children grumbling about healthier school meal rules championed by first lady Michelle Obama may have reason to cheer Trump’s election as the billionaire businessman is a proud patron of Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonald’s while promising to curb federal regulations.

The Obama administration has made healthier, safer and better labeled food a priority in the last eight years, significantly raising the profile of food policy and sometimes drawing the ire of Republicans, farmers and the food industry. The first lady made reducing childhood obesity one of her signature issues through her “Let’s Move” campaign. …

How about just dumping the school lunch program and most of the rest of federal education funding/control? If states and cities want to have tiny nouvelle cuisine lunches that leaves students eating their pencils by 2:00, that is their business. If they want to have big farmers' lunches, that is their business too.

The AP never thinks in those terms. Always in terms of big government dictates out of DC.

Michelle 0bama has no room to talk about diet or fitness for anyone.
She can concentrate on herself.
Anything that President Trump does in the area of school nutrition will be a vast improvement over steps in place now.

Well, I haven’t been to school in 40 years but, I do attribute my svelte figure to lunch room food.

Disgusting...

My 5th and 2nd graders constantly complained about the $hitty $3 obama lunches. They even had a punchline, when asking me for money for toys/gear at stores...”Come on Dad, it’s ONLY $3 Dollars!” Seriously, they could be on TV they are so funny!

They both kept nagging me, “Dad, when is Obama done?” They would ask.

“As soon as Trump win’s in November, just hang tight babe/son.”

When we won, seriously, I hope you all have a moment in your lives like that, when your kids look at you like you were freaking God’s press secretary!

It was a FOREVER bonding moment, when they finally accepted, that crazy old Marine Infantry Dad, was way smarter than anyone at school or on the lame TV news. They seriously blew up, and we lit some leftover (planned for election night) fireworks!!!

We’re still yuking it up!

If Michelle and the administration have actually achieved healthier and higher-quality lunches, they haven’t yet arrived in the two schools in two different districts my son has attended. The lunches are mostly low-quality, of qustionable healthiness, and unappealing. Overall, I would say the quality has declined in the last eight years, and is of no comparison to the lunches I got back in the dark ages when lunch ladies could actually cook. My theory is that school districts get the subsidies, use some of it to buy cheap, low-grade food, and somebody pockets the rest of it.

Trump does not Drink Alcohol and never has.

Trump did not Smoke Cigarettes and never has.

Trump does not use Illicit Drugs and never has.

As far as I know, neither do his Adult Children who also work very hard just like their Father, even though they are Wealthy in their own right.

Now, isn’t that an example of someone whose life you would like to emulate?

Heck no, he talks like a Guy from New York and says crude things.

Obviously the sliding scale moves a little differently when a Democrat is involved, especially if you’re a Clinton or an Obama.

Nope! Trump should do as he said let states handle schools, that includes lunches.
