I never thought her saying this really meant anything. For example: How many times have you heard friends say: I’m Irish, or I’m Italian, or I’m Spanish, etc., when you know they were born here?

But he’s never claimed Kenya to my knowledge. In fact, he’s never claimed any foreign ancestry.
It doesn’t matter where Mr Obama was born. His mother was a U.S. Citizen, and under the law, he is a “Natural Born Citizen”, as defined by U.S. statute.

I am Irish and British and other European (also have a Cherokee Indian grandfather). I have never told any of my heritage in a way that would cause any confusion.
