Facebook on Friday reinstated a Vietnam War-era photo of a naked girl fleeing a napalm attack, after a public outcry over its removal of the image including harsh criticism from Norway's prime minister.
In a clash between a democratically elected leader and the social media giant over how to patrol the Internet,Norway Prime Minister Erna Solberg said Facebook was editing history by erasing images of the iconic 1972 "Napalm Girl" photograph, which showed children running from a bombed village.
The company initially said the photo violated its Community Standards barring child nudity on the site.

F Zuckerberg.
And F Facebook.
Solberg wrote on her Facebook account: “I want my children and other children to grow up in a society where history is taught as it was.”
Good luck with that.
Democratic controlled facebook
Facebook’s motto: “Ignorance is Strength”
So, Facebook, when do we see the pics of the killing fields of Cambodia?
“It's perfectly possible for a company like Facebook to sort this out. Otherwise we risk more censorship," ; she said.

Following picture was also removed in context when I re-posted the link on Twitter. It was later made viewable again when I questioned the disappearance with @Support. It is no less a correct representation of History, regardless of what Islamist it offends. Yes, ISIS actually beheaded the young woman for disobeying her mother. Then forced her mother to bathe her hands in her blood. ISIS is absolute Evil, Vermin.
@BarackObama You have 2 daughters surely you see the face of evil in this Satanic butchery ISIS EVIL
The companies are staffed with ignoramuses...they have never had a proper education. Their employees are little more than drones. They have no idea what history is and what lessons can be drawn from a careful examination of it.
Every American should see that picture and others like it until they wake the hell up.
Did see OAN on cable and it did look pretty good.
Her name is Phan Thi Kim Phuc, here is her story:

youre right. so much of what happens on the internet, happens on Facebook. almost as if it were planned this way...
It was automatically deleted because they have an anti-child nudity rule. Most think it was computer generated not the hand of a wild-eyed censer. A Norwegian SJW went ballistic and turned it into an issue.
I have no love for FB or its owner but this was a big nothing.
Read an Amazon review where the author was complaining his history of VietNam was being auto-censored (IIRC, over the name “Phuc”, a common name in that part of the world.
His complaint was there was nowhere to take his appeal (kept getting auto-responses).
I used to argue with my tech-savvy friends about how if the web could inadvertently censor, what would happen if certain powers-that-be decided to do so on purpose.
They laughed at me back then. Now, not so much.
Note who I tweeted that pic to. Obozo himself.
agree.
Imaging systems do not have a sense of what nudity is.
Some human had to code the image obscene.
Whoever did that, was acting on an agenda.
Faceplant needs to go the way of Myspace.
FB is leftwing. That’s a famous image made to make America look evil. A right-wing agenda?
Logic doesn’t often enter into the picture when someone is foaming at the mouth.
I’m foaming at the mouth? My dog maybe, but not me.
