Kaepernick, 49ers teammate kneel during national anthem

Colin Kaepernick and San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid kneeled during the national anthem Thursday night, continuing the quarterback’s preseason protest of American racial injustice and minority oppression.

Kaepernick and Reid dropped to one knee while a naval officer sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” and dozens of military members unfurled an oversized flag at the Chargers’ Qualcomm Stadium.

Kaepernick received scattered boos when he dropped to a knee, but the protest was otherwise unremarked by the San Diego crowd. The 49ers’ visit coincided with the annual Salute to the Military preseason game for the Chargers, who have strong fan support in their city’s extensive armed forces community.

Kaepernick got much heavier boos when he took the field to start the game for the 49ers and immediately led them on a 16-play, 85-yard touchdown drive. The veteran quarterback is attempting to regain the starting job that he lost last season. …

So Kaep now has company (Reid), eh? Roger Goodell and the owners are probably a bit on edge about the possibility of this BLM BS metastasizing around the league..

If people would leave the stadium in droves, then stop buying tickets, they would get rid of these D baggers.

Strangely enough, all of this controversy seems to be making him play better.

I’ve never once bought any NFL ticket in my life, I can safely say.

With all of the money they make, how is it that their stadiums must be subsidized?? Seems to me to be one reason why we’re seeing this propaganda at games now.

Are the Chargers a good team this year? That’d be one measure as to whether he’s actually playing better.

The N.Y. News said the boos were “loud and explosive” and these guys said they were “scattered”.

No wonder no one believes the press anymore.

The final preseason game is meaningless. Starters don't play. Kaepernick played because he missed a couple of pre-season games already.

With any luck the “Sanctuary City” 49ers won’t win any games and the BLM bum can spend his money for some body guards. But then again,,,, we’re talking SF,,,, the dwellers will embrace the asshole.

The gents playing in the last game of preseason are motivated. But the 1st stringers generally don’t play.

Most of the people playing the final preseason game are in danger of being cut.
