I’m surprised that there aren’t more buildings and streets on college campuses named after him.

Changing the names of local streets is so much not Germany’s biggest priority right now. Is it? Who cares about street names while you are being invaded by a violent, primitive enemy?
To: Olog-hai
They’ll all eventually be “Erdogan Street.”

Same here, but then that may offend some Muslims.

Of the top 500 problems in Germany.....I’d rate this around number 8,558. Yeah, you can tell it’s an election year coming up.

Karl Marx is the least funny of the brothers. Rename them all Groucho Marx Street.

Why are local street names a national political issue? Can’t each town make its own decisions on street names? If it really is a federal issue in Germany, that’s part of the problem.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it, misdiagnosing it and then misapplying the wrong remedies.
Karl Groucho Marx
I second your motion.

That’s a shock considering Merkel’s Communist background.

Didn’t the Poles rename some Karl Marx place after Ronald Reagan?

There are still streets and squares named for Marshal Tito in Croatia, perhaps also in the other parts of former Yugoslavia.

We’ll need ‘em here in the US if Hillary is elected.
