Ping to look at later. I have a few old CW era Harper’s Weeklies, including the one with the huge Monitor/Merrimack battle engraving. It’s really interesting to look at and read what people were thinking, buying, and selling back then. In one way, so many things are different.
And yet, so many things remain the same.

Thirty plus years ago I took a University Course on American History 1860-present.
It was to me fascinating stuff, and these days the revisionist stuff is of course quite offensive. (That Peoples History comes to mind but other works are less known but still popular.)
