We saw no other option than to use our bomb robot and place a device on its extension to detonate where the suspect was
Explosives are an area weapon, and it's hard for me to reconcile their use with law enforcement, and any scenario, even this one, that has explosives as the only viable option.
The use of any method to end the violent behavior of a scofflaw, as long as it doesn’t endanger innocents, is warranted.
I wonder if the robot was BLACK or if it were a WHITE robot. This does matter.
Anybody Else Disturbed by the Dallas use of the “Bomb Robot”?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Yep.
He needed to be taken alive. They could have gassed him, or darted him, tazed him. The could have fire hosed him.
But they wanted himn dead. We need the information he had that would lead us back to the community organizer.
I’m concerned about the little robot, if that’s what you mean.
NO PROBLEM! THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED, even though belatedly after so many were hurt.
Would you have felt better if the robot has a shotgun on it?
Its not right in any way.
It's not a "robot" it's a remote controlled cart with a bomb in it, completely operated by a human being. If it makes cops feel safer, it means they're less likely to use lethal force inappropriately.
I, for one, welcome our new bomb-cart overlords.
#4 That would be barack hussein obama.
The Philly Police used a bomb on suspects in 1985 and burned down an entire city block.
Apparently bombs ARE in the police arsenal, and have been for a long time.
That’s a first so far as I know. I am not totally informed on this because I get tire of the looping story on Fox but someone said here that Micah X. had his own bomb and the robot blew that up with the extension arm. But either way Loretta Lynch will open a civil rights investigation with Commie and find that Micah X. had no intent.
I feel cops had nothing but time.
They lost valuable info.
Lynch made em do it.
Obama said no more hot meals for the children
This was not a robot.
Robots do not harm humans.
This was an LEO-run drone.
That said, GOOD job. except should have taken
the Obama-activated, Lynch-Holder-enhanced
murderer out earlier.
Yes. A shotgun, even a remote one, is a directed weapon. I don't want police getting too comfy as bomb-makers.
None. Whatever works. We can’t go back to muskets and balls.
I had the same thoughts. If he was barricaded in a secure space and had no chance of escape, let him sit there and rot. If he comes out in any way other than on his knees with his hands up, light his ass up. I don’t get why they would send a bomb in to him if he wasn’t currently posing a danger to anyone.
The worst possible racial combination: A White-Hispanic robot.
Oh dear.
The concern that drove the decision to use the robotic bomb device was the shooter’s claim that there were many bombs planted in the parking deck and he would detonate them. If that had not been the case, the use of the robot would, to me, be somewhat disturbing.
Maybe it was silver
