I always liked Isham Jones’ recording of this tune. Especially the non-vocal take, which was concurrently recorded for overseas release by Brunswick. Really captures that distinct musical mood of circa-1930.

Sam Lanin, who led the Troubadours also recorded my favorite version of "Yankee Rose," a big hit in 1927, but it disappeared from Youtube. For some reason, recordings of "Yankee Rose" don't seem to last long on Youtube, but you can click
here to listen to a good version by the Revelers, a vocal quartet.

Watch the same YouTube user for Sam Lanin’s version in the next 24 hours or so.
Do you know how to save videos on YouTube using www.keepvid.com ?

Brusha brusha — so said Bucky Beaver. The next campaign I believe was
“It’s the new Ipana in the new tube
With the new box
It’s got Hexa, hexa, hexa-chlorophine...”
etc.
Ironically, that commercial leaned heavily on a chemistry which later would be outlawed as dangerous.

As soon as Lanin’s version of “Yankee Rose” is on YouTube, I’ll put the link right here.

An excellent recording, accompanied by a great video.
