Your armed friends and family/ fellow gun owners(NRA) or the federal and state governments/local police sheriff?
Misleading propaganda question
I trust me, family, friends; in that order. Government employees, not so much.
It depends on how imminent the threat is perceived to be. As for me, I trust a well-armed private citizenry every time. But for the vast majority of sheeple out there, if the memory of Paris, San Bernardino and Orlando is not fresh in their minds, it’s a different story. We’ll see in November.

I, personally, trust no one if I need protection except myself.
Which house is most likely to be broken into? The house with a NRA sticker, or the one with the Save The Panda sticker.
I don’t mean this as an advertisement for any of the gun owner membership groups but more as a discussion on gun owners compared to gun owners.
I realize we all will be our own “Line of Self Defense” but do you think that fellow gun owners will come to our defense if the gun grabbers come to take them away once the shots are fired.
I have myself to protect me, been doing it all my life and I can still do it...

I am still my own first line of defense. But depending on where you are, the local sheriff could be a good resource and not at all the same as the police. Our sheriff, for example, said that if things got serious, he was going to get out the list of concealed carry license holders. This would not be to confiscate firearms, but to deputize the CHL holders. He considers them pre-screened responsible citizens, proven firearms handlers, and essentially the local militia.
But I live in Texas!
I trust in the Lord — supporting and guiding me in my own defense — with backup by sons & son-in-law. I couldn’t ask for better protection!

Agreed, but it depends on what the threat is. When other ppl are called to risk their livelihood, it may not be so clear.

Wrong audience, Randy. FReepers are generally self-sufficient, responsible people. You need to convince the 49% of idiot Americans. The FR echo chamber is what it is.
