Brian Cornell, the chairman and CEO of Target, took several questions from disgruntled audience members at the annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday concerning the retail giants stance on transgender bathroom and fitting room access.
Justin Danhof, who heads the Free Enterprise Project and was in attendance at the meeting, asked Mr. Cornell whether he believes those who oppose the companys stance are bigots.
Didnt answer the question, Mr. Danhof said of the business executives response. He gave a vacuous statement on, We believe in diversity, we believe in inclusion, and everyone should feel safe in our stores.
Support inclusivity, support inclusion it means nothing. Its meaningless, he said. Especially in response to questions asked very pointedly about do you think these people are bigots. And my impression is that of course he does.

I suggest he take those Men and Women placards off those doors.
You either are or you are not.
He gave a vacuous statement on, We believe in diversity, we believe in inclusion, and everyone should feel safe in our stores.
I would call that a vacuhead statement.
“.....everyone should feel safe in our stores.
EVERYONE!? I guess the transgendered are the “target” to feel safe at Target.
I suggest the ceo turn in his man card. He is not one.
Target will get sold. Stock gets low first. Planned
I think I have an idea to make millions. Invent a shopping cart that you ride in, with an enclosed “cabin” that doubles as a potty. Just do your business while you’re shopping. The port-a-potty/shopping cart automatically flushes when returned to the shopping cart storage unit. No more need for bathrooms.
As he should, in fact he should be replaced, and pronto.
“And my impression is that of course he does”
Hmmmmm
Yahoo Finance will show who TGTs biggest shareholders are, put the pressure on them and it could cost this guy his job.
nah, go after the institutional investors. That will hurt even more.
Brilliant. Like an deluxe disabled scooter you see these tremendous behemoths riding in. They should be pulled around by bronies for employment and environmental justice reasons.
Fregards
everyone should feel safe in our stores, EXCEPT girls and women
We believe ... everyone should feel safe in our stores.
Everyone but women and girls.
Stopped into the local Target tonight on the way home from work.
6:30 - 7:00 PM
Lots of good empty parking spots.
Went in, used the men’s room, continued on home.
Brian Cornell should be fired.
Any news on how Target business is holding up?
Here is the complete solution to the bathroom issue!

IMO the most important thing in regard to bathroom policy is the safety of children!
It is now, and always has been, acceptable for young boys to accompany their mom or sister to the ladies room instead of being forced to use the mens room alone... anyone with common sense know why this should be OK.
The risk to young girls forced to share a public restroom with males claiming to be transgendered just as a way to gain access to little girls is UNNACEPTABLE! It’s a shame that people who really are transgendered and merely want to pee are impacted by this common-sense necessity. But the safety of the little girls is paramount!
I have on occasion invited women to use the mens room while I kept guard at the door. It sometimes happens that the line is so long for the ladies room at things like sporting events that they are in danger of having an accident. letting those in distress use the mens on such occasions is the right thing to do IMO.
If a true M2F trans person passes so well that no one would ever guess then I see no reason for them not to use the facility they want... but if they cannot pass then why would they wish to inflict anxiety on other women and especially little girls? It’s unfortunate but life is not always fair.
