That is the absolute truth. When the North saw the funds cut off by the Cooper /Church amendment to the defense appropriations bill they invaded and pressed South. We had only 5000 American Service men left in all of the South. All of our POWS were returned home. Less that 1% of our victorious force strength were left at the end. President Thieu and President Ford begged for help to continue funding temperately needed to fight. Ford actually spoke to a joint session of Congress bagging the democrats not to execute over 1 million abandoned freedom loving people. ( which in fact happened) You won it and they erased it.
