Posted on 06/03/2016 7:55:48 AM PDT by Don Hernando de Las Casas
Heres a light-hearted question for a beautiful Friday morning. What are the most visually beautiful weapons ever created? I was gonna ask for your top 5 or top 10, but, really, why limit ourselves? ANY weapons count; notice Ive counted warships on my list. I hope I havent listed all the best. Have at it, gang. Tiger tank 1911 .45 1921 Thompson BAR 1851 Colt Navy revolver M-60 and/or MG-42 Any ship of the line circa. 1770 1815, such as LOrient.

The Leuku: "One of the traditional knives of the Saami people who inhabit the northern forests of Europe, the leuku is a wide-bladed tool designed to serve as a hatchet, a machete, and a butcher knife. The handle is invariably made of birch, and the sheath swallows almost the entire knife. The leuku hasn't changed in a millennium."

“I care not if my weapon is pleasing to look at, only that it works and places rounds where I need them.”
Philistine, I would hate to have a soul so cold that I could not see the grace of a samurai sword, or the svelte and hand pleasing lines of an M-1 Carbine,,,

P51 D.
We have a couple that fly into/out of our small town airport pretty regularly. I think one is based in Anniston. The other B’ham. Many Sundays they would fly over the golf course and play around overhead. Pretty awesome.
