I think the benzos might actually be worse. When ever I hear them compared by abusers, the ones with only the opioid pill addiction are glad they aren’t/weren’t on benzos, because the addiction takes hold so quick and the withdrawal so bad. And that’s with the easy opioid overdose.

I think they made things so culturally bad that many are just trying to get numb and they don’t know why. I think the new pills and drugs and their abuse are just a side effect driven by market pressure. I think maybe the general acceptance of chemical birth control is the root cause.

Interesting to hear yet another FReeper is making use of CBD oil. One other FReepmailed me about it. I use Ananda Apothecary's tinctures. Very easy to use -- two drops is one mg. I take four drops (sublingually). I do feel a relaxation go through my body about 10 minutes after taking it but no other sensations. It does work as an anti-spasmodic for me.
Most of the CBD oil available (except in legal marijuana shops) is hemp-derived and legal in all 50 states.
My comment #73. Yes, the hemp is imported. No, the chemical cannabidiol is no different from that in marijuana.
I have the kind that is only legal in medical marijuana states, not made from hemp. Yes, there is some relaxation. But it’s not thst noticeable. I take about the same amount as you.
