ALAMEDA (KPIX) San Francisco fog. Its as iconic as the Golden Gate Bridge. So, when the distillers at Alameda-based Hangar 1 Vodka decided to transform an essential vodka ingredient, all they had to do was look across the bay.
Sixty percent of vodka is water, explains Caley Shoemaker, Hangar Ones head distiller. We started thinking whats a way that we can make something thats fun and creative and different but that is gonna have a positive impact on this drought in California.

I wouldn’t put anything in my mouth that came from San Francisco
My formula for San Francisco in a bottle would be a bit different.
Made from the local S.F. fog?
I hope they figured out how to filter all traces of Homeless-Man’s Urine from all that condensed humidity.
Are they sure they spelled Fog right?
Is the fog laced with urine wafting up from the streets?
That sounds pretty dirty. I wouldn’t buy it.
Sounds disgusting!
...and flavored with the urine flowing freely on the sidewalks.
Just got back from there after a week long project. Disgusting place. Looks great from far away. But down in the nitty gritty it is disgusting. I witnessed a brawl at a recycling center while stuck in traffic.

All water has been there. And everywhere that there’s water. The same water has been going around for a long, long time.
There is water at the bottom of the ocean.
Isn’t this the same place they had to replace street and lamp posts due to them disintegrating from homeless people urinating on them? If not San Fransisco I’d be surprised. I’d never trust any type of locally sourced water/fog/smog from San Fran.
No. No no no no no.
Yeah, yeah... I realize that. But I think I could do without the water making my vodka filled with the miasma of SanFranFreako.
If they want fog by the bucket, they should start well before dawn, drive all the way up past Inverness, past the Sam P. Taylor State Park , past the city of Dog Town in Mono County, in order to reach Bolinas California.
....and smells like urine...
You can get HIV just from opening the bottle. Pour yourself a drink and you’ve got full-blown (!) AIDS.
