If the boat capsized where was the phone that it didnt fall out? Just a guess, but probably in a backpack in the cabin. . . turned off to preserve the battery. The boys were quite a ways out at sea, more than 100 nautical miles, which takes quite a bit of time. That quite a ways away from any cell towers. The boat most likely had it's own navigation system, so I suspect the iPhone would have been turned off to conserve battery time. I doubt there will be anything probative on it.
