Why are we seeing so much hatred this time around in regard to our potential candidates? I don't care for Trump and certainly would have trouble voting for him, but you would not catch me saying the sort of things about him or his supporters that we usually reserve for those trying to rend the country in two and destroy what is left of our liberties. The things I see said about Cruz and those who support him serve no good purpose, and yes similar things are said about Trump and his supporters, but not to nearly the same extent. Aren't we supposed to be on the same side here? This has gone beyond disagreement into absolute hatred. This is the reason the liberals win elections, because conservatives become so fractured that they cannot compete. The GOP left conservatives behind a long time ago, but with this bickering and infighting, all we are doing is letting them destroy us.
The infighting here has bothered me for some time.Why can’t folks disagree but remain civil?
Except Trump is going to win. Hillary’s going down.
Cruz went willingly over to the side of GOP leadership and he deserves every bit of scorn heaped upon him. The GOP leadership has been working secretly behind the scenes to impoverish, disenfranchise, steal from, and denigrate the very Republican voters that put them in office. They are despicable and anyone that allies with them is despicable.
I don’t really like any of them. But unlike some freeps...I’m voting for who ever gets the nomination to keep Shrilary out of the Whitey Hut.

The best formula has never changed: Trump/Cruz.
Cruz needs the seasoning . . . and the VP job would inoculate him on the Canadian issue for a future run.
I would love to see them both be statesmen; but Cruz has got to be the one to accept the #2 slot. He is supposedly the long-range strategist. Let’s see it.
It’s hard to play nice when two candidates who can’t win stay in just to hose the race. And Ted Cruz preaches hatred for Trump and Trump’s supporters.
I don’t see this going away because I don’t think either Cruz or Kasich have the decency to bow out, ever.
Do not discount the fact that many of those posing as Cruz supporters and trying to stir up hatred are actually leftist trolls. A number of them establish accounts and let them sit idle until they are needed to rabble rouse. They do this because someone who signed up yesterday and posts is greeted with a degree of suspicion that people who have been around a while don’t receive. However, it also raises suspicion when they have no posting history despite having signed up years previously.
It is an old leftist tactic to pretend you are one of the people you want to discredit.
Old people prefer more two sentence paragraphs.

I know that nothing I post here makes a damn bit of difference, won’t change anyone’s mind, or save the world.
I do not like, at all, lifelong Dem, 9/11 truther, Planned Parenthood supporter, socialized medicine aficionado, and a very model of inability to articulate even simple issues and opinions that would embarrass a preschooler...trump. Mister trump says some things I really like (e.g. build the wall); however I strongly suspect that he does not believe his own words.
I like, very much, trump Supporters. Most are my kind of Conservative.
That said, when I try to expose Mister trump for the weasel that he is, I get some very interesting insults posted in my direction. (As a vet, I learned long ago how to handle insults. No trauma here)
And, that said, if uber Weasel trump somehow wins the nom, I will vote for the POS, just because he is not Hillary.
Ugh.
