Donald Trump is a rookie candidate a potential superstar of vast promise, but making rookie mistakes. The nominee Republicans need for the fall campaign is often hard to make out amid his improvisations and too-harsh replies to his critics.
New Yorkers vote Tuesday. What to do?
Heres how we see it.
Should he win the nomination, we expect Trump to pivot not just on the issues, but in his manner. The post-pivot Trump needs to be more presidential: better informed on policy, more self-disciplined and less thin-skinned.
Yet the promise is clearly there in the rookie who is, after all, leading the field as the finals near.
Trump has electrified the public, drawing millions of new voters to the polls and inspiring people whod given up on ever again having a candidate whod fight for them.
Thats the work of the Donald Trump we know a New Yorker, born and bred.

cant be. owned by Murdoch. semi /s
I don’t think Murdoch likes him so I don’t get it.
Murdock HATES him and his entire family; however, push has come to shove and the editorial board did the right thing!
I know plenty of people that hate trump and are voting for him :)
I don’t care, as long as they pull the lever :)
I know many more that love him.
you know what, their votes are equal.
As long as people vote for him, I don't care if they love him or hate him. The ones who hate him, will learn to LOVE him, once he is the president.
where have you been? how dare you have a life! :)
lucky I have none so i’m here to cover :)
Did you watch Trump tonight? his speech was very good and the audience was with him, the whole time.
I haven’t watched a speech by anybody since, well, maybe Trump’s first speech.
Hate speeches :)
Saw the character development or lack thereof on FR, and made decision.
Vote for Trump in 4 days.
But that's okay...do what you think best and vote early. :-)
I work overnight. I will go straight from work to the public school, eat some breakfast, and then vote for Trump and go to bed LOL
“Vote for Trump, because he’ll reverse himself on all the issues, AND become a sweetheart, after he tricks enough people into voting for him”
I can't wait to vote; my state votes a week after N.Y., but it's all in for Trump too! :-)
Cruz is clueless and will NEVER be the nominee nor president!
I know I tortured you for months, but you knew ted so well you should have known he’d break down my support more and more until I just couldn’t vote for him.
Enjoy voting :)
Sometimes people just have to learn the hard way. *shrugs*
Oh I'll be at my town's Middle School, with bells on and a big smile on face, when I go to vote! :-)
Maybe Murdoch considered the alternatives to Trump and made the logical choice.
What’s curious to me is the “rookie” label for Trump.
My reason is that I watched a speech and Q&A with Donald Junior, and he was right on the money .. regarding primarily conservative-leaning questions.
Why isn’t Trump leaning more on Junior, instead of other people in his campaign who have not always given Trump the best information ..?? This is very curious.
