A sad 69 year old man leading and funding the black hole spoiler campaign. What would this prove for him and his followers?

Not sure I see him as a particularly sad guy. But he is not leading a third party campaign and he may not. Its part of negotiation. The best use of a weapon is to not have to fire it.

Mr. Trump doesn’t have the funds to make it effective. And he’s known as a pretty “tight wadded” sort — not the kinda guy who’s likely to throw his own assets into an electoral black hole.
