This old thing about the non abortion and abortion wings of PP is a particularly unhelpful straw man. It was set up that way doubtless for the name equity, and “conservatives” keep on falling into that old snare to this very day, as liberals who weren’t making moral distinctions suddenly start to do so just to discombobulate the “conservatives.”
I’m no huge fan of AA. But while it exists, the most can still be made of it. It is one of many band-aids for an old problem of American racism that has been egged on mostly by Democrats. Republicans could have a field day on the topic of “Why has AA been needed?” Pointing right square to the Democrats.
