I can see the libel suits and attorneys lining up now. A whole new industry opening up for them.
And the lawsuits.
Its almost like they don’t think someone who gets trashed will sue the snot out of them, or that an unstable person will do worse.
Sad that an app is needed to find out what to think of someone.
For once, I’m on the lawyers’ side.
Trust must be earned, not rated.
This will not end well.
This is a horrible idea.
Without downloading the app or participating, how do we know if someone has made a bogus account in our names?
Publishing defamatory opinion about a private individual is just as libelous on the internet as it has always been in print. I can see this experiment being short-lived, but highly lucrative for the legal profession.
I guess I won’t get good marks. Just a few hours ago I fired a customer. I don’t abide getting ripped off or lied to. And I especially don’t like when written agreements are not honored. I could sue. But to no end other than to enrich a lawyer and bankrupt the former customer. Sometimes you just gotta say “f it” and move on.
The profanity I used will not get me a 5 start rating.
In regards to Yelp... In fact all reviews online. Ignore the 5 star and the 1 stars. Then you’ll be ok.
