PINSON, Tenn. - Officials with the Chester County Sheriffâs Office have asked for volunteers to help search for a missing 2-year-old boy.
The boy, identified as Noah Israel Chamberlin, went missing in Chester County Thursday, and authorities said multiple agencies, including the Chester County Sheriff's Office, had been investigating.
He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans. Authorities said he was reported missing around 1:30 p.m. Thursday after he was last seen going into the woods behind his home on Short Road in Pinson

“No scent or clothes or anything found”???
How would there be no scent, unless that isn’t where he went/ or had “help”?
That is my question too. Either media is sloppy, or granny is lying.
Something very wrong there.
Hope(??) it’s just sloppy innacurate reporting.
That's a very good question. Maybe tracking by scent is one of those things that's more complicated than we think it is?
Anyway, it's definitely sloppy reporting: "They sat down on a wood log."
Steel logs are more fashionable, I hear.
They now have TBI (I guess that is like TN’s FBI) helping. I hope the police are looking very carefully at the family, as one would think a toddler would have left traces between Thursday afternoon and now.

Maybe the original crew of dogs weren’t trained for this purpose. People might think that any dog will smell a child’s blanket and then run through the woods right to him, like on TV. However, I think it’s much more likely that the average dog, even a ‘coon hound, would run right to the nearest spot another dog peed, and then look for a ‘coon to chase.
Dogs brought in last night, apparently from theis company http://scentevidencek9.com/Home_Page.html
Distinct possibility.
Hopefully there is scent, and hasn’t been masked by trampling.
Hopefully trained dogs will make a difference.
Hopefully, his four year old sister may be able to communicate more information
Bump.
Yes, the dogs are a good addition. In this day and age, and this time of year, a very worrisome story. Miracles do happen, and little children can survive a lot, but it is going on 3 days.
Yes, 3 days is a long time, especially in winter. Also, a post at the true-crime site you linked mentioned a pond nearby.
I have been following this case for a few days. Shocked no sign of him yet.
This doesn’t sound good....
