In an effort to promote racial tolerance, Oregon State University is hosting two “social justice retreats†this weekend—one for white students, and another for students of color.
According to The Daily Caller, both retreats will take place from Friday to Sunday, during which time white attendees will learn about concepts such as “white privilege,†“microaggressions,†and “institutional racism,†while the retreat for non-white students will also focus on “[empowering] students of color.â€
The “Examining White Identity†retreat—which is reserved exclusively for students who “self-identify†as white—“focuses on White identity development, White privilege, and oppression in both personal and institutional contexts, while introducing strategies to dismantle oppressive systems,†according to an online summary.
After being briefed on those concepts, the description continues, participants “will look at ways that understanding these issues will help us address White privilege and oppression in ourselves and with other White people and become better allies for social justice.â€

sod off, pound sand, screw yourself. if you want to feel guilty about anything, you go right ahead. i have had to fight for everything i’ve earned, i haven’t gotten anythign for free. some have it easier than me, some have it harder. none of’it is my fault and i refuse to feel guilty for anyone else’s lives. we a re all responsible for what we do with what we have, we dont need you self appointed idiots telling us others lives are bad because of us, or society, or whatever.

some group should hold there own counter meeting at a local pub asking all that disagree with the university to come have some Pints and just get along...we need more then racial tolerance we need to be friends and the only thing the university is doing is Promoting racial disharmony.
I just realized the drinking age is 21 so maybe some other bonding activity. the important thing is to just show how out of touch the university is on what needs to happen in the promotion of everyone just being a good neighbor with there fellow man.
They cannot even see how offensive this is on so many levels. Their own racism and assumptions are so damn offensive.
To promote racial harmony, they are segregating the races during the workshop. Only liberals would think it would be fine...STUPID!!
