While appearing on Newsmax's "The Hard Line" with Ed Berliner, GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz not only explained what the Bible says about killing, he re-stated his support for killing islamic terrorists to keep America safe.
Berliner started with the canard that the Bible prohibits killing in the Ten Commandments, prompting Cruz to give a stinging rebuttal.
"Defending yourself is an obligation of any president. It is not murder," he said, citing World War II, in which U.S. military personnel killed a lot of Nazis to defeat the evil of Adolf Hitler.
"When you have the face of evil that has declared war ,then it is the essence of duty to defend your nation, to defend the innocent," he added. "When it comes to jihadists, they have declared war on us, and that's what President Obama and Hillary Clinton refuse to acknowledge."
A post at Texas Cruz'n added:
Durn tootin.
if your religious beliefs (like Obama with islam) prevent you from protecting your country, you shouldn’t run.
go Cruz. kill em all.
Bttt
The prohibition in the 10 Commandments is against MURDER, not killing. Two very different things!
The Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule, and the US Constitution should not be, and were never meant to be, a suicide pact. The right of self defense is incontestable. Every organism on this planet has that prime directive right in its DNA.
Just because the Islamic terrorists apparently lack any measure of empathy, does not give them any excuse to simply go ahead and obliterate another human being for what amounts to a disagreement on interpretation of what may or may not be “right”. Deadly force in response to the attempt by another to apply deadly force against yourself is entirely justified.
Just try telling your adrenal glands to shut off.
I do not want to go overseas on another long, drawn-out Kill Terrorists adventure. I just want to lock them out of the USA.
Keep out Muslims. Build a wall. Keep the troops home.
I love how cruz clarified that the commandment is Thou shall not Murder and defending oneself is not murder.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
I see Jayne Cobb (Adam Baldwin) on twitter first things this morning saying that its time to get behind Ted Cruz.
The BACON lubed ammunition!
Let’s take it a step further.
As for Trump getting hammered about suggesting we kill the families of the COWARDLY radical leaders of these muslim murderers, issuing a death warrant for the families of these people might cause them to reconsider dispatching their brainwashed and largely illiterate fellows to murder US if THEIR families will die.
General Sherman correctly observed that âWar is hellâ. We’re in a WAR!
What’s so different from Trump’s idea than the allied fire bombing of Dresden in February, 1945, 6 months before the German surrender? An estimated 100,000 to 500,000 men, women and CHILDREN were killed. The exact number could only be estimated because there were so few actual intact corpses to count! MANY HISTORIANS BELIEVE IT WAS AN ACT OF PURE REVENGE FOR HITLER’S INDISCRIMINATE BOMBING OF BRITAIN AND THEY’RE PROBABLY RIGHT.
Then, of course, there was Hiroshima & Nagasaki in August of ‘45. Scores of thousands of Japanese women and children died TO SAVE AMERICAN LIVES by avoiding an invasion of the home islands. Some of those Americans were my relatives!
All Trump is suggesting is that an EARNEST PREEMPTIVE threat to these SAVAGES MIGHT save the lives of OUR INNOCENT WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHEN THE FIGHT HERE ON OUR SOIL REALLY GETS CRANKED UP. THANKS TO OBOZO AND HIS IMBECILIC âIMPORT AN ISLAMISTâ PROGRAM, IT SOON WILL!!
Yep! It is unfortunate that the King James version got it wrong but you check most every other transcript version and it says "murder" not "kill". Besides it is not plausible to suggest kill when just a few verses down it lists some reasons to put people to death.
Yep, the Muslim enemy may never do anything but hate our guts, but they can do it while respecting and fearing our wrath enough to seriously think twice about messing with us.
