I have never heard Adele sing. But I do find it interesting that she is so popular and the only thing she does is release albums. You don’t constantly hear about her as you do Taylor Swift, Beyonce, et al.

She’s not as prolific as Swift. Swift’s career is like a machine. Adele is more soul than pop. Swift is teeny-pop. Adele is moody teenager.

Then you don't know what you are missing. She seems to be a very good person, not too full of herself. There is a viral video of her going in disguise to a BBC-filmed audition of Adele impersonators, giving support and compliments to her co-contestants as they sang her songs. She “reluctantly” takes the stage and starts to sing. The look on the contestants' faces as they realize she is the real deal is priceless. If Sarah likes her, then that is more than enough for me to put her on my good list.

I first learned of Adele right here on Free Republic when someone posted an article of her crabbing about the taxes she had to pay. There was a link to Rolling in the Deep, and I was instantly hooked. Bought her new album the day it came out a couple weeks ago, and just LOVE it. I love the bombast of her songs, and the big orchestration behind a lot of it.

Adele seems to rather live her life privately compare to today’s “artist” who does the “O look at me” type.
