Now this total flop news that Apple phones can't even keep a charge for 10 hours, let alone 18. They are doing quite a bit WRONG and very little RIGHT.
I love my iPad. But after a few months it started loosing battery power.
I’ve had it for almost 3 years and it needs a new battery. I don’t want to buy an new one when the old one is wonderful it just only works for bout an hour now unplugged.
Mine sits around for days sometimes and the battery power is still up to snuff....I even use it a lot at night and I usually charge it up once a week or so.
Does yours have a 3G cell connection or something? Mine is all wireless - and I’ve turned off a lot of the APP useage of location, news updates and stuff, though.
Lithium batteries have limited lifespans. That’s a normal reality. Get the battery replaced.
Oh I use it several hours a day now plugged in. I take it out of the plug when I’m cooking or something along those lines so I can watch TV or see a recipe.,
I suppose its also my fault since I’m watching TV on it instead of on a regular TV.
Where are you getting this information from????
LI batteries only lose about 18% of their capacity if charged lightly over a year when its completely drained between charges. Even after 3 years, the battery should still hold 50% of its charge. For an infamous iPad, that means “6 hours”.
Tens of billions of dollars of profit per quarter is hardly “total failure”.
That term applies in cases like the Microsoft Kin phone, costing a half billion to produce and selling only 500.
Apple Pay relies on NFC POS registers, which are still rare.
Experience using lithium battery devices. And yes they’re known to have roughly 2 year lifespans.
“Even if the stars are aligned, the Apple unicorns abound because I like unicorns...”
Keep spewing crap. Apple spends BILLIONS just to stand this garbage up. They are losing BILLIONS on this. BILLIONS upon BILLIONS. Are you that dense? Or are just another iZombie...
Funny. My lithium batteries last years and years. I guess its because I don’t use Apple products.
You must be used to the reduced lifespan to comment on it so jadedly.
Apple iPads beat all other tablets in battery life...on the phone side, iPhone 5 was the worst battery “laggard” (wife has one...2 or 3 days at best, as little as one under moderately heavy use). iPhone 6 does a bit better, & the 6s is somewhat better than the 6. The “Plus” size iPhones do much better due to more space for battery capacity. There is a price to be paid for “light & svelte”! See: http://browser.primatelabs.com/battery-benchmarks
Where are the Microsoft tablets in this? Another jaded, crapola “benchmark”.
You are a firkin moron.
Your source: “PC World” says MS Surface Pro tablet has 4.5 hours, which puts it at “mid-pack” for tablets.
There are several iPads floating around my house of various models. I have noticed subtle decreases in endurance, but nothing like your experience.
I replaced an earlier-generation iPad battery. It was HELL, and I’m pretty good at this work and I have the tools with which to do it properly. I dinged one of the over-glued batteries and it popped and burst into smoke and flames. Very exciting. I had to run outside with it!
After it cooled down, I scraped out the mess, replaced the battery, and completed the repair. But in spite of my care I still got a little dust in the glass. I couldn’t bear taking it apart again to get rid of it.
I don’t mind. I love Apple and I paid 299 for it. I’ll just get a new battery after the holidays. I think three years for one battery is pretty good.,
Things aren’t built to last like they were in my grandparents day.
