Conservatives don’t “hate” electric cars, they hate being forced to subsidize them for a lie.
They also have a general distaste for the smug and holier than thou attitudes of the kind of people who buy them thinking they are saving the planet
Exactly what I was thinking.
Conservatives don’t hate electric cars. If an electric car works for someone, based on where they live and how much they drive, it’s all good as far as I’m concerned.
We conservatives are actually more tolerant than liberals here. It’s your free choice if you want to buy an electric. If it works for your circumstances, go for it. We are pro choice when it comes to the kind of car you want to drive.
I don’t hate electric cars, but I don’t like them. The way i see it, anything you PLUG to an outlet is a household appliance.
I agree. Conservatives have been at the heart of much of mankind’s innovation. But a true test of the viability of an idea is if it can stand on its own accord.
Electric vehicles support an array of niche markets. Gasoline-powered vehicles support a wider array. Both have their purpose - and their limitations. I object to government coming in and tilting the playing field in order to influence the market. They have zero business intruding.
As an aside, I thought the price of the vehicle interesting. Someone took a bath (in addition to the US taxpayer who subsidized that thing).
Conservatives donât âhateâ electric cars, they hate being forced to subsidize them for a lie.
Right On!!!
Thanks for your post sage, appreciated.
Well said.
Happy Thanksgiving.
