I think I’ll just stick with reloading centerfire.

This is a great resource!
I own a very old .25 caliber rifle hand made by my grandfather. I have found boxes of ammo for it but at $100 a box it is a bit pricey! I do have a bullet mold for it so it looks like this kit is all I need!

Ok, you answered my unasked question of 'WHY?". Not that a free man needs a reason why.

Why? Maybe because it’s been dang hard to find any the last few years.

Anything is reloadable if you know simple chemistry and learn the mechanical skills.
I suspect that high school chemistry is much less interesting now than back in the 50s.
We learned some cool stuff.
It was assumed that we could figure out some things without wasting lab time on cucumbers and condoms.
We mostly just carried one, those old time Southern girls would kick the crap out of you if you got too excited but you were expected to have a ring shaped bulge on your wallet..

Step up to 22 Hornet. Much easier to reload.

I have a couple thousand 22LR cases that I’ve accumulated shooting at my target here in the basement while I peruse FR.
Looks interesting to try. I guess I could pull out the lead from the bullet trap. The big thing I’d want not have to do is all the mixing for the primer base. Did the article say anything about trying to get more than one reload from a case?

I was thinking if it is a home made rifle, it’s probably a 25 Win or 25 Rem in either short or long case, both necked.

Yeah. Components are plentiful and about as cheap as they’re going to get so stock up now. Also .22 LR is available.

I would anticipate head separation early on.
