Soon after World War Two, Germans clung to the belief that they had been held hostage by a criminal gang led by the charismatic Hitler, bent on conquering Europe and exterminating Jews.

Sounds like overindulging in alcohol. Some people see a drunk who is violent or acts like an idiot and say, “That’s not like him, it’s the whiskey talking, he’s not like that at all.” In truth that IS him, the real him that he has been hiding while sober.
I think the Dem voters see the benefits flow and don’t grasp the damaging effects at all.

Actually he supported the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. There are pictures of them meeting in Germany. It is said that the Grand Mufti advocated for the demise of the Jews (Jooos) - to push them into the sea. Hitler in return would take Islamic soldiers into his army. This is known but not that well known. Hitler also believed in the occult and only used religion when he could direct and guide the masses. It was his regime that declared Atlantis was the birth of the Aryan race.

Sure, the Nazis were good at propaganda displays. But many, many Germans were captivated and followed him blindly. One doesn't exclude the other.
He may also be setting the bar too high. Most Germans weren't in a state of constant ecstasy about Hitler, but they were inspired enough to believe in him and to follow him to their doom. Wasn't that bad enough?
There was no daylight between the Nazis and Commies. Both were anti-God abortionists and pro-sodomy. The Pink Swastika book exposes the homosexuality that was rampant in Hitler’s Germany. Lenin was clearly a sodomite and mostly likely a pedophile just like mohammed.
