Hallowe'en is all about (these days) maintaining that evil and blood and gore are (along with homosexuality) all normal elements of growing up
I have NEVER seen anyone dress like Jesus and rather than take a treat, pass out a tract ...

Halloween is all about getting free candy. Nothing is more important to a kid. Bingo. As kids, it was the one day a year where we were allowed scarf down candy to the point of being bilious. A glorious, if slightly nauseating, indulgence.
