I have heard this more than once when applied to special forces training.
The guy telling the story would say something like. We weren’t even thinking about women anymore but fantasizing about how we could get a pizza delivered out here in this swamp.

LOL ... been there done that! While in-country, I lost 15 pounds. Lots of fantasizing during those 13 months.
