You might have to work a little harder to pay for it, but it's progress. Of some horrible sort.
The National Endowment for the Arts gave $60,000 for the production of a play about the first openly gay president of the United States who has to fight zombies in the basement, and who has a cheating First Man.
Sen. Jeff Flake (R., Ariz.) highlighted the grant for Zombie: The American in his running series meant to expose wasteful spending.
The year is 2063 and Thom Valentine, the first openly gay President of the United States, faces a host of problems, reads the Woolley Mammoth Theater Companys description of the play. An imminent civil war, the threat of an African invasion, an adulterous First Gentleman, and zombies in the basement of the White House!
You can always count on the NEA to waste money on unimaginably ridiculous garbage. As long as it's anti-American.
OHara and his director, Howard Shalwitz, cycle through multiple acts of carnage, shady diplomatic doings and pointlessly graphic sex scenes, all leading to a finger-wagging ending about Americas sins. Weve been bad, you and I. The zombies, it seems, are us.
Here's a question, why do we continue to fund the NEA?
We've been talking about this for decades. The NEA has burned through billions of dollars. It continues funding anti-American garbage while stealing money from working people.
So far Obama isn’t fighting zombies.
2036? That is a long time for a sequel.
Someone needs to photoshop Obama, the Wookie and VJ faces on that picture...
And yet....Pam Geller is excoriated for bigotry and inciting violence for sponsoring artwork depicting Mad Mo.

You know, I read this and it tempts me to go all Slim Pickens on the whole shebang.
Sounds like they ripped off the plot of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Remember, Liberals are convinced that Lincoln was gay.
Just remember a fiat, printed currency, with fake interest rates, centrally-controlled and manipulated by socialist central planners at the Federal Reserve - paid for this, and 1000 other progressive schemes via the US Government.
Want to kill the Left and Progressivism? Kill the Federal Reserve.
RE: Sounds like they ripped off the plot of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Very bad movie. I liked the premise, but the whole thing was a mess.
Vampires roaming during daytime under the sun? WTF !!
I’d watch that play, sounds like fun.

This is art, man. don’t any of you unsophisticated philistines have any appreciation for such talent? 60k is a small price to pay to bring such an important example of true artistry to the unwashed masses. /s
The GOP keeps funding it.
Gag me with a spoon! President Valentine. Urp!
For most of the time vampires have been portrayed, that was their custom.
It was only in the 1922 Nosferatu that the filmmakers first introduced the quick plot resolution sunlight kilz!.
And everyone was like "vampires combust in sunlight-WTF?"
