No, he used the countdown timer feature to make it countdown to zero and sound the alarm.
You know, like a real bomb.
He was a guest of honor. He didn't bring his piece of junk, as the other kids would have put him to shame -- but he had the local Media slobbering all over him. A regular puke-fest.
I have been pondering that claim, and it doesn't seem true to me.
The Clock that he put in that pencil case had a cord, and normally runs on 110 vac. I doubt he had anyplace to plug it in next to his desk.
The image shows a nine volt battery connecter, and it could have originally had a nine volt battery connected to it, but in my experience, those batteries do not actually run the clock, they simply provide backup power to retain the time and your settings when the power fails.
If someone knows whether or not this particular Micronta clock can run on a nine volt battery, then they can enlighten us, but most of these clocks that I have seen cannot operate on the nine volt battery. It only retains the time and their alarm settings.
Therefore I find it unlikely that the Alarm sounded. I think he just showed it to some people, and that's how the teacher was alerted to it's presence.
This is reminding me of the rollout of Sandra fluke... Except worse.

Don’t know about that but I understand that he may be up for the Nobel Prize in Physics. He is deserving of that...at least as deserving as Barry was for his Nobel Peace Prize.
Barry has assigned NASA the mission of making Muslims feel good about themselves. Perhaps NASA can quickly make this young Muslim genius the youngest Astronaut. They will of course waive all the training as his brilliance makes him a natural.
This wouldn't be the frist time a Muslum father used his children to arosouse sympathy. I recall a photo of a 3 yr old child in the surf about 3 weeks ago.
