On Tuesday’s edition of “Fox and Friends” the News crew showcased actress Emily Blunts comments on her new American citizenship that have gone viral.
“I became an American citizen recently, and that night, we watched the Republican debate, and I thought, ‘This was a terrible mistake. What have I done?’” she recently told the Hollywood Reporter.
Needless to say this has virtually every Republican in our country pissed off.
“You know what Emily Blunt just did? She just Dixie Chicked herself,” host Steve Doocy said. “She has alienated half the country that now will think twice about going to one of her movies.”

“The thing that’s weird is I do get to keep both my British citizenship and this, but you have to renounce [Queen Elizabeth II],” Blunt said. “So, it’s kind of typically American…not to be rude…but I had to renounce her in the room but I don’t actually, technically renounce her.”

Well....there is one good thing, she isn’t Muslim is she?
I looked for the photo of her mammary glands thinking maybe she should be spared. But all I could find were two hot chicks (next to ‘Vegetables that destroy stomach fat’) having no legs, joined at their middles like Siamese or conjoined twins.
So in the absence of further evidence I’m going to have to recommend that we go forward with the decrapitation.
this was really dumb of her, even if she was just joking. i know in the crowds she runs in that it’s taken for granted that everyone hates the USA and is so much smarter than every “dumb, racist, sexist, homophobic” republican... but we republicans buy movie tickets and DVDs too. lots of them in fact. insulting the very same people you’re relying on to come see your new movie and keep your career going is not very smart.
it’s a shame too. she was in Edge of Tomorrow and Looper, two of the better sci-fi movies of the past few years. she’s married to that guy from The Office (who had the crush on the receptionist) and he’s been in some movies with George Clooney, so i’m guessing she’s married into a pretty outspoken little clique of libtards and never hears any opposing views expressed other than the democRAT talking points.

Dixie Chicks were way worse.....bashing the President and America on foreign soil. Emily was ditzy but at least she said it here. I thought some thought the debate was bad........we can say it here but she can’t say it???? hmmmm.
She said she swore allegiance to the United States of America, and renounced allegiance to the Queen/England, but ... she was crossing her fingers.
I’ve read that new Americans in recent years are not being asked to do this, so they believe they still have dual citizenship.
But no, she didn’t say she thought the debate was bad.
She admitted that she swore to something, but didn’t really mean it.

Me neither. Had to go look her up. Turns out I've seen her in a couple of movies - apparently forgettable. She is a mid-tier actress of modest talent and looks (at least with professional makeup and clothing help). If you never saw nor heard from her again you wouldn't notice. We will have forgotten her by this time next week.
I had to look up this actress, but maybe she should go back to Britain where she would be happier with an anti-military, openly socialist, radical-leftist prime minister.
Come to think of it, that describes Obama.
I don’t consider this a “Dixie Chick.” Because she said he statements to a U.S. media source. She didn’t say them in a concert to try to play the local audience behind out backs. So, it may now have been a smart thing to say, and she can take all the criticism she gets. But she wasn’t doing it behind people’s backs. Completely different thing.
