I have searched the internet but cannot find the answer.
Amazon broadcast a wonderful pilot for this series, based upon the Philip K. Dick novel. The original broadcast was the highest-rated show Amazon has had. There was talk of this becoming a series. Since then ... not a word. I did find rumor that episodes 2 and 3 have been filmed.
Does someone have inside information on this possible series?
Thanks.
Pilot was shown on Amazon in January, green lit for a series in February, Amazon showed a trailer at ComicCon in August:

Supposed to be this fall on Amazon.
The Man in the High Castle: Season 1 will be available November 20, 2015.
Watch the trailer for the compelling and provocative new series, The Man in the High Castle, based on the novel from acclaimed author Phillip K Dick. The newest Amazon Original series takes a glimpse into an alternate history and what life may have been like had the Allied Powers lost WWII.
Pilot took some liberties with the plot of the book, but it has promise.
Dick wrote this more than 50 years ago now.
I read a lot of Dick in the early 80’s in my late teens and early 20’s.
He was not all that well known or widely respected.
It is amazing how an ostensible hack writer sci-fi writer has such a lasting and continuously expanding influence.
It was the I Ching, it was.
Every plot twist in The Man In the High Castle was based on the hexagrams found when Dick consulted it.
Slightly OT, but related. I read a year old story in the WSJ last week that A&E killed Longmire because the average viewer age was 60, not the demographic that advertisers want to hit. I was thrilled to see that Season 4 showed up on Netflix this week. I didn’t know that Netflix had picked the show up from A&E. It’s a great show if you haven’t seen it.
I love the idea of Amazon, Netflix, and now maybe Apple creating their own content.
Philip K Dick wrote so much great stuff that has resulted in LOTS of great adaptations. Respect.

The man had an amazing amount of vision. And he was quite an original.
Some movie titles based on short stories and novels which may ring a bell, the most current “The Man in the High Castle”:
Blade Runner, Minority Report, Paycheck, A Scanner Darkly, Next, Radio Free Albemuth, Screamers, Screamers: The Hunting, The Adjustment Bureau, and Total Recall
And Truman Show was clearly inspired by Time Out of Joint.
Thanks. I couldn’t find this info elsewhere.
Yes, the novel has “The Grasshopper Lies Heavy” as a work of fiction within the High Castle universe. The change of this into a movie in the Amazon version raises the possibility of alternate universes.
“Hack” scifi has been revealed more and more to be clairvoyant and ever more respected. Pity the 50s and 60s writers were paid one or two cents a published word.
The TV network system is dying quickly. Instead we are seeing an explosion of “view what you want, when you want” TV from hundreds of producers a la intelligent TV. Of course, the Dems will soon be screaming that this is “racist” as only those who are willing to pay for Netflix, Amazon, et al, can get it. Expect it to become a “right,” paid for by you and me.
“Hey, Bro. You gibs me free internet (’Bama ‘Net) but they aint nuffin to watch. Where’s me free Amzon & Flix?”
I hadn’t thought about it, but you are surely correct.
