Because it is too hot and dry and there is too much accumulated fuel?

I think you mean what started it. They haven’t said. It is usually days or weeks before they do. All of the recent fires have been vehicles, hot water heater. mowing, etc. The last several days has been 100 plus. The humidity is in mid single digits. That whole area has really been waiting for this.

In Ann Coulter's book, Adios America, she documents the number of wild fires caused by Mexican drug growers and illegal immigrants. It appears from the documentation that >90% of the wildfires in the Western US are caused by Mexicans or illegal aliens.
