FR is internally shredding, lol? Is this your first Presidential election on FR? It’s nowhere near previous elections.

That Instagram ad is like the LBJ Abomb TV ad against Goldwater in 64... Only in reverse. Very clever.

Mr. Trump has the axis forces of the current government, the media, and the uniparty in perfect agreement that he is an existential threat. They will do everything they can to discredit and defeat him. There is a reason why the uniparty has won every election since the late 19th century: they’re very, very good at it.

I doubt that I will ever have the opportunity to vote for Mr. Trump. That said, I’m not as certain of that as I was a month ago.

He is showing a bit more polish recently. I think he is listening to some political groomers.

The Media and others do seem to be taking him a bit more seriously than they were 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I am beginning to think he is in it for the long haul. He is having fun and seems to be getting great receptions in flyover country.

To get someone worse than Jeb, Jorge Castaneda would have to figure out a way to run for POTUS.

A few weeks ago l also thought that Trump would soon be out of the race, no way he would ever get the nomination, same for being elected POTUS. Now I’m not so sure. I don’t like Trump but if he is the nominee I would go to the polls, hold my nose, and vote for him. If Cruz or even Ben Carson is on the ticket I would vote for either without holding my nose. If it’s Jeb on top of the ticket I’m staying home election night.

How, pray tell, is Cruz helping Trump? By not attacking him like Perry, Graham and Paul? We saw how that worked out. Cruz is doing well in his own right, but helping Trump?

HOORAY Trump

Never say never in anything regarding The Donald.

If anything, the man can be near monomaniacal when he sets a goal for himself. And the more people try to raise an obstacle to attaining that goal, the more determined he becomes.

The Donald does not debate anyone. He negotiates, sometimes with a surprising strength and tenacity. The Art of the Deal was a blueprint for winning, and everyone would be well advised to study the methods employed.

Never pull a punch, and never apologize for landing one.

“If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen” - attributed to Harry S Truman. And it applies to The Donald just as well.

I have a feeling there would be many security firms that would be honored to protect him.

Not at all (look at my s/u year).

But there is an ugly undertone this time...

It’s funny you mentioned Teddy Roosevelt in comparison with Trump because I actually thought the same thing.

He steamrolled over whatever is in his way like Trump. I didn’t know Theodore Roosevelt that well but that is the very impression I get of him from his pictures.

If he can win a Republican primary, I think he can win a general election- especially considering the chaos going on in the Democrat’s house right now. He can win. Not saying he will win, just that he can win and that I hope he does and I hope he remembers that conservatives helped him win.

I was among the disbelievers when Trump first entered the race in June. I initially thought the Trump candidacy was just a publicity stunt for the next season of The Apprentice and didn't even expect he would register in the polls, what with at least 10 other heavy hitters in the race.

Now I am 100% convinced that he can win and win big.

Trump seemed a little clumsy at first but he's a quick learner and it's scary to see how smooth and confident he is getting on the campaign trail. Today's appearance in Iowa was positively Reaganesque. He is absolutely killing it out there and the effortless way in which he is handling the hostile press tells me that he is unstoppable at this point.

There are still many Americans who feel Trump is a joke and cannot possibly win (because the media is telling them so) but as time goes on, many of them will come around.

Aside from Trump, Ted Cruz is my favorite candidate. However, he is only 44 years old and it won't be the end of the world if he loses out to Trump this go around. In fact, I think Trump will give Cruz an important role in his administration that will set him up to be even more effective when he gets in the White House himself.

After being fairly despondent about the state of affairs regarding the Republican Party this past 20 years or so, I am starting to feel good again. It's starting to feel more and more like 1980.

I am not a Trump fan.
He is a populist in the Bill O’Reilly mold only with a lot of money.
Not something I would ever want.

If the next election shapes up with Hillary, Elisabeth Warren, or Bernie Sanders against Jeb Bush, John Kasich or Marco Rubio then I think Trump would have an excellent chance.

I see him more likely to win third-party than as the Republican Nominee.

Roosevelt was the President who kicked off the progressive movement of the early 20th century in America. TR was a big government Republican. He also supported eugenics.

Today we’d call TR a liberal Republican. Just like Donald Trump.

People I’ve been talking to are supporting Trump including neighbors. I just talked to my daughter and she said her friends are saying the same thing. I believe We The People are fed up with Talking Heads and Establishment career politicians.
