The reason their was a Perot in the first place was that Bush broke
his promise “read my lips, no new taxes”
And then passed new taxes.
In addition, Perot picked up almost 20% of the dis- satisfied voters
Bush left on the table.
My suggestion. Don’t break promises and don’t leave votes on the
table and you won’t have “another Perot”.
Not quite. Perot ran against Bush because he’d rather see a Democrat named Clinton in the WH. Why? What did Perot have to gain from a Clinton that a Bush just wouldn’t provide?
