A month after canceling her wedding, Bristol Palin has announced that she's pregnant.
"I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant," she wrote in a blog post on the religious website Patheos. "Honestly, I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one."
She continued, "I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect [my 6-year-old son] Tripp's and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy."

Palin is apparently no braniac. S! partly responsible.
Cue the banjos.
Poor Sarah!
Sad to hear this and I suspect she’ll be a good mom..........
Bristol is the non braniac. The fam’s first names for kids confuses me.
She has robbed her entire family of its honor and credibility on moral issues. What a loss to all of us but I think this finishes Sarah Palin as a credible public figure on morality issues.
I wonder what her emotional problem is?
Ia the ex the baby daddy?
I just feel sorry for Sarah. Bristol is an independent individual. But, honestly, in this day and age, how hard is it to not get pregnant? And after being a spokesman for abstinence!
Bristol Palin is 24 years old. She’s a grown woman. Why is the media trolling?
Who knows? But if I have to bet, I would say no.
LOL!
Strong the Force still is in S!
Yep, 40 to 60 years into this, one does wonder.
Because she made her living selling books and lectures about abstinence?
I have kids the same age. I dont condone, but i dont condemn. Times change as do the norms. She will be judged in due time by the only one who should judge.
She’s not aborting her baby. That’s way more important than whatever all the “conservative” cry-baby hand-wringing is about.
Abstinence from what?
i think she’s a good kid. she’s just of a generation that has been exposed to lots of anti-family propaganda.
in 2012, 40.7% of all births were to out-of-wedlock mothers.
by ethic group, those numbers were:
72.2% for blacks.
66.9% for american indians.
53.5% for hispanics.
29.4% for whites.
17.1% for asians/pacific islanders.
these numbers should be shocking. so many negative implications come to mind about single mothers raising boys, welfare, children raised in poverty, etc.
