a beer so bad they have to put a lime in it to disguise the taste and keep the fly's out of the bottle...

I used to really like Corona. These days I find it too light in flavor, but light years better than most any US swill. Never cared for Tecate, still love Negro Modelo.

Mostly drink beer from Hawaii microbreweries and Sierra Nevada type stuff.

Wife still likes it, and I agree, it is a great thirst quencher. She is on a "low gluten" BS thing now, but guzzled Steinlager before. Another rather light flavored lager good for the thirst, but short on the palate.

She finds my beers too heavy and bitter.

SN Torpedo is good. Local Safeway had some variety packs of SN seasonal beers a few months ago. Truly enjoyed them all.

Great thing about living in a warm/hot climate: cold beer is a suitable drink every day of the year.

helped launch Corona

I thought for a moment the headline refered to the Corona spy satellite ca. 1959.

but light years better than most any US swill.

I dunno, on a hot day I'd rather have a cold PBR than most of the over-hopped microbrew IPAs out there.

Something is different about Corona. The taste is OK, but I think it must have very high sugars or use different brewers adjunct

It makes me hung-over terribly, while other beers do not.

they were the ones that started all this lime in the beer crap cause so much of it went skunky in the clear bottles, that and to keep the fly's out, now bud even makes beer with lime already in it...

to me, if ya gotta put lime in it before ya can drink it, buy a better class of beer

and yes Negro Modelo is the best from south of the border

i used to drink Carib when i lived on St. Croix, came in a clear bottle and never had a problem being skunky
