Bristol Palin will not be saying "I do" this Memorial Day Weekend. The Dancing With the Stars alum, 24, was planning to marry Marine Dakota Meyer on Saturday, May 23, but has called off her wedding, mom Sarah Palin revealed via Facebook on Monday, May 18.
The former Republican vice presidential candidate, 51, broke the news by sharing a picture of a quote from InstaGod Ministries: "Trust in God's timing. It's better to wait a while and have things fall into place than to rush and have things fall apart."

Below the photo, she included a note about her daughter's engagement, writing: "Bristol and Dakota couldn't be more thankful for the love and support of family and friends over the past months while preparing for their wedding. They have informed loved ones that unfortunately the announced celebration planned for May 23 will not be held."
Instead, their families will meet to "celebrate life," Alaska’s ex-governor shared. There may not be a wedding, but there will be a party.

Well, FRiend, that's something of a low blow and not what's expected of pro-God FReepers. The reality is that Bristol Palin is a spokeswoman for Christian causes, namely pro-life and abstinence education. Her speeches command well into the five figure range because of her sincerity and ability to deliver the message of Faith.
