In a list of the world's most eligible bachelors, Prince Harry would certainly be somewhere near the top. So when the fair-haired royal, now fifth in line to the throne, spoke yesterday about his desire to share his life with someone, a million or more ears pricked up around the globe. While on an official tour of Australia and New Zealand, following a month-long army deployment there down under, Harry hinted that he might be ready to bid farewell to life as a single man, saying he would 'love to settle down... and have kids'.

Not long ago, I watched a bio of Henry VIII and later read up on him. The guy had a tough time producing children and of the ones he had, many of them died shortly after birth or very young. Much of the problem was that old Henry was an undiagnosed diabetic (no one knew what diabetes was back in his day, let alone how to treat it). But I think one other major cause was that he, like the other royals of his day, married relatives, albeit distant relatives, or from a very small circle of prospective brides. This I think weakened the gene pool and produced unhealthy children.
If Harry is smart, he will find a commoner to marry.
While Harry has had his problems, he is a real war hero from his service in Afghanistan. I thought his laying a wreath at Arlington and visiting wounded soldiers at Walter Reed while in military uniform showed real class. Despite his nitwit father, his mother raised two fine sons
I agree with almost everything you’ve said, LOL.
I’m not really a fan of Diana or Charles, but his mother died when the boys were very young. So Charles, thought a nitwit as you say, undeniably gets a big share of the credit for how they’ve turned out.
Now it’s time for Harry to settle down. He loves kids and will no doubt make a fine father.
Ditto.
I once read that Cressida was out because Kate wanted her out. It seems that Wiliam had dated Cressida’s older sister. May be a rumor, though.
