That show jumped the shark when they hired Lopez as a 'judge'.
She achieved fame because of her thermo-nuclear arse. Just like Kim Kardashian.

Well it did produce Carrie Underwood
I haven’t watched it since Simon left myself. The talent pool has been fished in to much

That’s big news. I am surprised the past two seasons had such bad ratings. The judges are great and the competition has been very good and likable. I think the year previous to that with Niki Manag just killed it. I tuned out that year after 2 weeks. I came back because of Harry Connick last year but many didn’t.

I’m not surprised. We may see the return of more scripted programs because reality competition shows are getting almost as expensive on a per-hour basis as a scripted drama or comedy show.

The first AI winner, Kelly Clarkson, only just now got out from under her AI contract.

I worked a weekend audition in Charlotte as a PA years ago. Didn’t run into any of the famous people. Mostly just producers and directors. Every one was good to work around.

At least they helped, for a while, to expose our youth to half decent American music and talent.

Yeah, but what will replace it. The masses need their brain numbing nirvana.

I haven’t watched for a few seasons, but picked it back up this season. The talent is much better and I’ve enjoyed the show more than The Voice. That said, it is time for it to go.
