I don't write vanities. This isn't intended as one. But I've been wrestling with the question of "why won't they call it Islamic Radicalism?"
But today was an epiphany. After listening to Marie Harf explain that "extremists need jobs" I realized that the violence that won't be named is only an example of the ongoing culture war in our own country.
Fundamentally, Marxists of whom Obama is an adherent attribute historical movements the material dialect. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialectical_materialism) Essentially matter precedes thought. People, as groups, are motivated not by religion, which is a mere epiphenomenon of matter, but by material need.
I think most people accept that Obama is a Marxist, but do not understand the ramifications of that. One of those ramifications is that there is no such thing as a Holy War. It cannot be the case that people are really motivated by ideas, especially religious ideas (being abstruse and as far from material as possible.) Since this is the case, an honest Marxist would never attribute violent extremism to religious impulses.
Simply stated: the reticence of the current administration is an outgrowth of their fundamental framework for the interpretation of action in history, especially action of groups like ISIL, er, ISIS.
Well, that’s one way of looking at it—that Obama is primarily a Marxist.
Another way is that he’s primarily a Muslim.
Yet another is that he identifies as a black bisexual.
It’s confusing, but all of these groups are co-travelers for now, co-operating in the denigration and plundering of the USA for their short-term relative advantage.
Fissures will appear later. For example, gays will not be happy under Sharia. Nor will fundamental Muslims be happy if Marxism ultimately gains the upper hand and institutes its own structures instead of Sharia. And so on...
I think the evidence of his Marxism is far weightier than any other competing theories for his mental framework. Google “Obama’s Marxism” and you’ll find far more convincing writer’s than me of underpinnings of his thought.
Ping for later
Extremists already HAVE a job......murder.
I think Commies like Obama are letting ISIS and other radical Islamic groups do their dirty work: toppling local governments and striking fear in the populace. I think the Commies are likely the “man behind the curtain” using radical Islam to consolidate citizens and toppled nations who already are accustomed to being told what to do and how to think.
Consolidation of these nations under what is purported to be a Muzzie caliphate will give them the operating base, oil supply and soldiers from which to launch a campaign to dominate the world. After it is too late, the Muzzies will realize they have been duped when the Commies try to replace Islam with the worship of the state.
The Commies have been operating a stealth strategy here in the US for a long time. It is not at all far-fetched to believe that they are using Islam to accomplish their ultimate goals as well.
This is all speculation on my part, but it all makes sense to me when you look at the way events have transpired since the late 1980’s.
That is certainly a possibility. Though I doubt true believers in Islam, just like true Christians, would ever go along willingly. Any attempt to “pull one over” on the Muslims would probably be met with an extraordinary show of force from the Muslims. Christians, not so much.
That said, I think you are at least half right: the Marxists believe that Muslims are a repressed population that will evolve to realize that the state is their true source of power, the Muslims are already half there: having no love for capitalism and the West. For the Marxist: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
These Alinskyites know how to deal with an enemy:
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
This worked, in WWII for example, by polarizing Americans against “Japs” and “Huns”.
Obama and his minions are pursuing exactly the opposite approach in the case of radical Islam. They refuse to even name the enemy.
