Sounds great - I’ve heard something like that called “cowboy pie.” Pretty much as you explained it, a variation on sheperd’s pie.

Put it on some cooked chicken, have a green salad with it, and you won’t have to work out ;-)

That is a perfect low-carb sauce.

I’m still trying to shake off my mother’s insistence that pressure cookers would explode and kill everyone. LOL

I’ve looked at a few and they all seem to have enough safety features that my house won’t be leveled. What I’d really love, is a pressure cooker canner - then I could can everything!

One of my latest, must make a batch very week, foods. I like to fry up the leftovers to make them extra crispy. They do need a good squeeze of lemon juice. Not my own recipe, so here the source:

TIPS

A recipe calling for citric acid- a rub for chicken as an example...a great substitute is unsweetened lemon Kool Ade.

Reheat Pizza... Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of
the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. ?This keeps the crust
crispy. ?No soggy micro pizza. ?I saw this on the cooking channel and it
really works.

Easy Deviled Eggs: Put cooked egg yolks in a zip lock bag. Seal, mash
till they are all broken up. ?Add remainder of ingredients, reseal, keep
mashing it up mixing thoroughly, cut the tip of the baggy, squeeze
mixture into egg. ?Just throw bag away when done easy clean up.

Expanding Frosting: When you buy a container of cake frosting from the
store, whip it with your mixer for a few minutes. ?You can double it in
size. You get to frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount.
You also eat less sugar/calories per serving.

Reheating refrigerated bread: To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins
that were refrigerated, place them in a microwave with a cup of water.
The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat
faster.

Newspaper weeds away: Start putting in your plants, work the nutrients
in your soil. Wet newspapers put layers around the plants overlapping
as you go cover with mulch and forget about weeds. ?
Weeds will get through some gardening plastic they will not get through
wet newspapers.

Broken Glass: Use a dry cotton ball to pick up little broken glass
pieces of glass-the fibers catch ones you can’t see!

I will be making these the next time I pick up some avocados.

Avocado Bacon Egg Rolls

Ingredients:
Oil
2 large avocados; perfectly ripe, peeled, pitted, and sliced
½ lime
Salt
6-7 slices pepperjack cheese
12-14 bacon slices, cooked
12-14 egg roll wrappers
1 tablespoon flour
Water

Instructions:
Heat about 2” of oil to 350 degrees F in a large frying pan.
Place avocado slices on a place or large bowl. Drizzle with lime and then sprinkle with salt as desired. Place flour in a small bowl and add water to make into a watery/thin paste.
Place one egg roll wrapper on your work surface, with one corner pointing towards you, forming a diamond on your surface. Lay ½ of a slice of cheese in the middle. Lay 1 slice of avocado on top of cheese, and then one slice of bacon, broken in half. Finish with another slice of avocado.
Fold the part of the wrapper pointing towards you over the stack of avocado, etc. Fold the left and right points over the middle and roll up egg roll nearly all the way, taking care to fold tightly with no openings for ingredients to fall or leak out. With finger tip, dab a bit of the flour mixture on the remaining corner at the top and then seal this corner onto the egg roll to close it.
Repeat steps with remaining ingredients. Carefully place a few egg rolls into hot oil and cook until golden brown, turning them over once during the frying. Remove from oil and allow to drain and cool on a place lined with paper towels or napkins. Serve whole or cut in half at an angle with dip of your choice (if you wish).

You mention sausage balls. Are these the ones made with country sausage, cheddar cheese, Bisquick? Absolutely love those things. At one time kept a cooked stash in the freezer warming them in the microwave when ready to eat Yum Yum

Sounds divine. Love Alfredo. Only made it once, years ago. Alfredo fettuccine and veal piccata. Do not, repeat Do Not attempt to try the fairly new product - Ragu Piccata...yuck yuck yuck Same can be said for the new Cream Cheese sauce additives from Kraft. Tried one about two years ago and found it totally lacking.

The alfredo went on fettuccine. The protein was thin sliced chicken breasts sauted in a little olive oil, lemon juice and Marsala wine with crushed garlic and I threw in spinach at the end to wilt into the pan sauce. Oh, and I lightly seasoned the chicken with some white pepper too.
