"Way cool. I can't see temperatures myself. Do they look like colors or something?" Galileo invented a way to see temperatures. 'Face has one of his rigs.
It's a tube with floating glass balls of different density. Depending on the temperature, all or none of the balls will be floating. It's very visual.
You can tell at a glance what the temperature is, but it is a little slow to respond.

T-c has one, as well — a birthday present from Yours Truly.
I love my Galileo. It is ALWAYS accurate. My barometer, on the other hand, has no gauges...just a spout that needs attention, occasionally.
