Dawn was holding the top of her head. Tawney reached up. Along the sides of her head the smooth fur continued, and at the very top, graceful arches of soft fur-covered flesh were her new ears. She stared at Dawn, who had been transformed in exactly the same way.
Dawn climbed out of the bed. Her tail twitched and flicked around nervously.
Tawney looked behind her. As if in mute inquiry, her own tail lifted up to the level of her face, and then flicked downward again.
